Totti could miss Italy qualifiers with knee injury
Roma forward Francesco Totti could miss Italy's European Championship qualifiers against Yugoslavia and Wales after suffering what may be a recurrence of a knee injury during Saturday's Serie A win over Udinese.
Totti, who has hit prolific form scored twice as Roma enjoyed a 4-1 win at the Olympic stadium, to follow on from his hat-trick at Brescia last week.
But after the match Roma coach Fabio Capello said that Totti was feeling pain in his knee.
"I am a bit worried because Francesco felt some pain in his knee -- the same problem that affected him in pre-season," said Capello.
Italy coach Giovanni Trapattoni is set to name on Monday his squad that will face Yugoslavia in Naples on October 12 and Wales in Cardiff on October 16.
Trapattoni already has a doubt over Inter Milan striker Christian Vieri, who has an ankle injury, and Juventus striker Marco Di Vaio, who is recovering from a head injury picked up in Tuesday's Champions League game with Newcastle United.
