Sipaeya, Gajjar in last four

Victor Bruthans of Slovakia, Eliran Dooyev of Israel and Rohan Gajjar and Sunil Kumar Sipaeya of India moved into the semi-finals in the $10,000 prize-money Stellar ITF men's Futures tennis tournament in Gulbarga, Karnataka, on Thursday.

Third seed Bruthans, the highest seed left in the event, scripted an authoritative 6-3, 6-1 victory over Russian Alexey Ageev while Sipaeya, seeded sixth, made it to the last four after accounting for Roy Sichel of Israel, who conceded the match. Sipaeya was leading 7-5 2-0 then.

Eighth seeded Dooyev struggled on his way to a 6-7, 6-4, 6-0 victory over unseeded Vishal Punna while Gajjar, who is a wildcard entrant, came from behind to beat Ajay Ramaswami 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
