Bruthans, Ramaswami score
fluent victories

Third seed Victor Bruthans of Slovakia and seventh seed Ajay Ramaswami breezed into the quarter-finals of the $10,000 Stellar ITF men's Futures tennis tournament in Gulbarga on Wednesday.

Top seed Rohan Bopanna was forced to concede a walkover to Rohan Gajjar after being indisposed.

Ramaswami cruched Amanjot Singh 6-2, 6-0 while Bruthans proved too good for Sonchat Ratiwatana of Thailand 6-1, 6-0.

Also moving into the last eight were Alexey Ageev (Russia), Eliran Dooyev (Israel), Sunil Kumar Sipaeya (India) and Roy Sichel (Israel).

In the pre-quarter-finals, Ageev came from behind to beat Ireland's Sean Cooper 5-7, 6-0, 7-5 while eighth seed Dooyev sidelined Claran Moore (South Africa) 6-3, 6-2.

Sipaeya beat Kamala Kannan 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 and Sichel eliminated Ajay Chowdapalli 6-3, 6-3.
