National Games postponed

The 32nd National Games, scheduled to be held in Hyderabad from November 15, have been postponed by three weeks.

The Games would now be held from December 13 to 23, Indian Olympic Association president Suresh Kalmadi announced on Saturday.

The decision to postpone the Games was taken keeping in view the need to give athletes the much-needed rest after the hectic outing at the Commonwealth Games and the forthcoming Asian Games, Kalmadi told reporters after the first meeting of the National Games Organising Committee.
