India U-17 to tour Germany
before AFC finals

The Indian under-17 football team will tour Germany as part of its preparation for the under-17 Asian Football Championship, in Dubai, from September 6 to 22.

India coach Islam Ahmedov informed that the squad will leave for Germany on August 16 to participate in a two-day local tournament and three practice matches.

Two matches will be played against the FC Cologne under-18 team. In the latter half of the 12-day-tour, the Indians will play a local club and two teams, comprising players of Indian origin, in a league tournament, organised by the Indian Soccer Supporters' Club in Germany.

After returning, the team will have a training camp before leaving for Dubai on September 5.

India is clubbed with Asian giants China, UAE and Myanmar in Group A.
