Sania enters doubles finals in Egypt tournament

Sania Mirza partnering with Amani Khalifa of Egypt, entered the doubles finals of the Smash tennis international junior tournament, being played in Cairo, Egypt.

Down by a set, the Indo-Egyptian pairing fought back to win the match at 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 against Klara Jagosava and Simona Dobra of the Czech Republic.

The Czech duo broke the serve once in the first set, but Sania maintained her unbroken service to clinch the match.

Earlier, Sania had advanced into the quarter-finals of the singles event.

Last year, Sania had lost to Khalifa Amani of Egypt in the singles final and won the doubles title with Marzovic Wana of Yugoslavia in the tournament.
