Bindra is overall European championOlympian Abhinav Bindra ended his dream run in the Winter European Rifle Circuit with a silver and a bronze in the last scheduled matches at Wiesbaden, Germany, to take his overall medal tally to 12, including six golds, four silvers and two bronze. With 12 medals and three cups -- Riac, Nissan and Den Haag -- Bindra earned the distinction of becoming the overall European champion and the first shooter ever to have bagged so many medals in one circuit. In the penultimate individual matches on Sunday, D Niklomarko of Italy won the gold with a score of 594 and Brad Scot of Germany with 593 took the silver. There was no final match and the score was judged on the basis of the last series. Bindra shot a perfect 100 in his last series. The last match fielded mixed teams where Bindra teamed up with Niklomarko and Steve Gieslsel of Luxemburg to grab the team bronze. It was for the first time that an Indian shooter was included in an international mixed team. Related report: Bindra places 11th in Olympics shooting
