The 23-year-old mum of two, said, “The amount of hate I get makes it impossible to get public transport.”

A cartoonish figure of US President Obama was found in a urinal at a major conservative gathering in Washington on Friday. Dan Pfeiffer, senior adviser at the White House, responded to the pictures on Twitter, branding them ‘totally uncalled for’ and commenting on the size of Obama’s ears.
It’s unclear who was responsible for putting the figurines in the urinals.

The Central Intelligence Agency has revealed it once considered creating and using a very different type of weapon in the fight against terrorism: a doll. An Osama bin Laden action figure with an evil-looking face. The CIA’s proposed plan, according to the newspaper, was to produce the dolls, with their bright red faces and spooky green eyes, and hand them out to children in Afghanistan in hopes of turning them away from the Al Qaeda leader.

Unruly air passengers would be wise not to mix it with flight attendants on Chinese planes any time soon. They are among the clients of a new kung fu master teaching them the ancient martial art. Although intended to ward off potential terrorists in the cabin, the skills they learn can easily be deployed against drunken and unruly travellers.
The training is taking place in Chengdu city in southwest China's Sichuan province. Tu Tengyao, 32, is one of the trainers teaching a new intake of 20,000 students how to kick, punch and wrestle opponents with ease.

A priest in Mexico has shocked his congregation with his love for fast cars, sexy women and good food. Father Jorge Manuel Guevara Corona, priest of the north-eastern town of Guadalupe, likes women, good cars, wrestling and strawberries, according to his Facebook profile. The priest has created controversy with his comments on his profile, but he is unrepentant. Police in the French village of St Gervais came across a young boy who was hiding. When they asked why he was hiding, the boy launched into a story of how he had been abducted by a stranger in the nearby town of Bagnois and had only just managed to escape. It was only much later when the police officers launched a full investigation that they realised the 12-year-old hadn’t actually been kidnapped. He was just trying to skip out on a trip to the dentist.

He’s got a face only a mother could love: Peanut, a rescue dog with unknown breed origins, was crowned the World’s Ugliest Dog at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, California, earlier this week. The dog’s owner, Holly Chandler of Greenville, North Carolina says Peanut is a victim of animal abuse and was injured in a fire, though he’s healthy now.

A neighbour of Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe has appeared in court on charges of allowing his dogs to roam on the 90-year old president's private residence. Michael Pazarangu was charged for “letting his unmuzzled ferocious dogs roam freely” which strayed into Mugabe's property and killed a buck.

Two Ugandan men who sneaked piglets into the east African nation's parliament to protest against corruption have been sent to prison awaiting trial, and the animals impounded as evidence. Officials said the protestors had painted the piglets in the colours of the ruling party of President Yoweri Museveni, one of Africa's longest serving leaders, and had written slogans insulting MPs as corrupt on the animals.

Police have registered a case of theft after two jackfruits went missing from a tree inside the premises of Janata Dal-United Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Prasad's residence at Tughlaq Road. “He told us that two jackfruits have gone missing from the tree which bore nine fruits. An officer then reached the venue to probe into the matter,” said an official.

An American exchange student sparked an "extraordinary rescue mission" when his leg became trapped inside a giant vagina sculpture. "It was a dare," fire department squad leader Markus Mozer said, adding, ""The young man had tried to pose for an unusual photo and climbed into the artwork." A total of 22 rescue workers with special equipment were deployed to the scene in the southern Germany city of Tuebingen on Friday to free the 20-year-old. The six-foot replica of female genitalia was installed 13 years ago outside the microbiology and virology department of the city’s university clinic.
