Last updated on: February 15, 2011 22:03 IST

Egyptian tour guides gathered recently near the historical Sphinx and the Pyramids appealed to tourists to return to the country following the fall of Hosni Mubarak's regime.

The recent unrest has kept away international tourists from the country, which depends heavily on its tourism industry, threatening thousands of jobs.

After the unrest settled following Mubarak's decision to step down from his post, a number of guides assembled near the Pyramids, and assured tourists that 'Egypt loves you.'
