Riding on an anti-incumbency wave, Jayalalithaa-led All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam front on Friday stormed to power handing a crushing defeat to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-Congress combine in Tamil Nadu assembly polls.

With results declared for 216 of the 234 seats, AIADMK won 141 and its allies DMDK (30), CPI (9) and CPI-M (10).
The DMK managed to win 18 seats so far. The Congress, which had bargained hard for 63 constituencies in seat sharing talks, put up a miserable show winning just 5 seats and the Pattali Makkal Katchi winning 2.
