Egypt continues to be gripped by uncertainty after the refusal of President Hosni Mubarak to step down.
The promise by country's military Supreme Command Council to hold free and fair elections soon has fallen on deaf ears. What's worse, Egyptians are now feeling betrayed -- having expected the army to stand by them in this hour of crises.
As protestors gather on the streets for what appears to be a massive showdown, rediff.com summarises their sentiments expressed through their placards and banners.
