Tendulkar, cut his birthday cake in the presence of his wife Anjali at a team hotel iin Kolkata where he is due to play his next match of the Indian Premier League.
Speaking at a function after cutting the cake, the little master, said that people across the country and globally have been supporting him, praying for him and fasting for him during all his good and bad times.
Now it was his turn to show his gratitude and thank them for their unstinted support through the years.
