Yoga Guru Ramdev was on Friday admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital in Dehra Dun where he was shifted from Haridwar after his condition deteriorated on the seventh day of fast.
"Ramdev was admitted to the ICU immediately after he was brought to the hospital where doctors have examined him," Medical Superintendent of Himalayan Hospital, Jolly Grant, Dr S L Jethani said.
Doctors said Ramdev is being administered glucose.
Jethani had earlier refused to go into details about the condition of the 46-year yoga guru, saying that a statement on his health would be given only after thorough examination.

Ramdev was shifted to the Dehra Dun hospital, 25 km from Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar, where he had been fasting on issues of curbing corruption and bringing back black money stashed away in foreign banks.
Uttarakhand Health Director General, Dr Asha Mathur said Ramdev was hospitalised as his health was deteriorating.
She said two medical teams have been constituted to keep a constant watch on his condition and medical bulletins would be issued regularly.
Jethani later said, "Ramdev's condition is stable. His liver functions are slightly derailed but his kidney is functioning normally.
"He is conscious. He is being kept in a separate room and is being constantly monitored. His BP is 110/78 and pulse rate is 60. Ramdev is talking and there is no problem. His health is improving."
There was commotion at the Patanjali ashram as some of Ramdev's supporters protested the Haridwar district administration's move to shift him to a hospital.
Some protestors even clashed with police when the yoga guru was being carried on a stretcher. However, it was resolved immediately with the intervention of ashram authorities.
Sri Sri Ravishankar, founder of The Art of Living, said his condition is "very critical since morning and now there is improvement in his health (after his hospitalisation). I talked to him and requested him to stop the agitation."
He met Ramdev at the hospital as he was being shifted to the ICU. Ravishankar, who recently lost his father, had gone to Haridwar for immersion of the ashes.
Doctors, who examined Ramdev in the morning, had said he needed immediate hospitalisation as his health parametres were "worrisome".
"His blood pressure is low and pulse rate is also low. If his pulse rate and BP continue to go down, it may put some pressure on his heart. We found that his health is going down. It is worrisome," Chief Medical Officer Yogesh Chandra Sharma said after examining him.
