4 dead in Mumbai building collapse
Altaf Manzil, a multi-story building located along the Veer Savarkar Marg (formerly called Cadell Road) partly collapsed on Monday evening, killing four persons.
A Hinduja Hospital official quoted on condition of anonymity that Mehronisha Ahmed Batliwala, a 75-year-old woman, was declared dead on arrival. Another girl, Chandani sheikh, 16, is stable and responding to treatment well.
Zaibunnisaa Sattar Lakha, 76, also succumbed to her injuries at the Bhabha Hospital in Badra. Her grandchildren are among the ones trapped inside the building. Halima Sheikh Ansar,78, was also brought in dead at the Sion Hospital. According to the medical staff, she suffered from abdominal wall trauma. The fourth victim was identified as Mobin Lakha (18).

Survivors have been taken to the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital in Sion, KB Bhabha Hospital in Bandra and the King Edward Memorial KEM) Hospital in Parel.
There has been at least one confirmed casualty -- the 76-year-old Zaibunnisaa AS Sattar Lakha whose grandchildren are among the ones trapped inside the building.

Farhana Aslam Lakha, 35, who was also in the building was rescued and admitted to the KB Bhabha Hospital in Bandra before she was shifted to the privately run Holy Family Hospital, also in Bandra.

Several vehicles around the building have been crushed under the falling debris. Altaf Manzil also had a Maruti Suzuki showroom on the ground floor.

Among the survivors is Shankar Bhoir, 50, a member of the housekeeping staff and a security guard at the building.
