 Armed with a never die attitude and a smile, Monika More made her first step into college on Monday after the horrible accident in which she lost both her arms amid a heavy and thunderous applause from her classmates at Ghatkopar’s T D Mehta Junior College of Commerce.

Monica lost both her arms at the Ghatkopar station, north-east Mumbai, on January 11, when she fell off a packed suburban train, into a yawning gap between the platform and the train bogey.

Now, with prosthetic limbs and a fighting spirit, the teenager begins her journey with her foray into Std XII.
