The rain gods are finally looking down on Mumbai. After a blistering week, the city experienced heavy showers on Sunday and Monday and the officials at the regional weather department say that heavy rainfall is expected to continue for the coming 48 hours.
Heavy rains lashed most parts of the city beginning on Sunday, leading to several trees falling and water logging in most parts of the city.
Motorists and two-wheelers had to navigate water-logged roads in most suburban areas, especially Malad, Andheri, Goregaon, Virar and Vile Parle and Thane.
