Emotions ran high inside the court of judge ML Tahiliyani as he pronounced the death sentence for Mohammad Ajmal Kasab, the Lashkar-e-Tayiba terrorist, for his part in the November 26, 2008 carnage in Mumbai.

The announcement of the verdict sparked off frenzy outside the court. While the media jostled to report in the details of Judge Tahiliyani's observations, the general public took to the roads to celebrate the verdict.

'Omble's soul will rest in peace'

Remembering the departed
