Right from teaching ABC to comparing Marwaris with Gujratis, Modi did all to bill the connect in Jaipur, reports Shahnawaz Akhtar
Unlike Ambikapur (Chattisgarh) there was no ‘Red Fort’ replica made in Jaipur for Bharatiya Janata Party’s national poll committee chairman Narendra Modi.
But despite an ocean of crowd waiting with baited breath, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi seemed to be caught in a time warp and began his speech right from where he left -- criticizing Congress party and Prime minister Manmohan Singh in particular.
“Congress party lacks leader (neta), character (naitikta), policy (niti) and intention (niyat). Hence it can’t lead the country,” he alleged.
Modi, who is slated to be prime ministerial candidate for the BJP, seemed to be nothing more than a showstopper for Vasundhara Raje to kickstart her election campaign with a bang on the concluding day of Suraj Sankalp Yatra.

Modi, who took charge of the stage only after Raje and BJP president Rajnath Singh, proved his mettle of being an orator that controls the crowd once on dais.
He began with mocking the multi-crore scams of the UPA government.
Donning the avatar of an educator, he redefined ABC with respect to Congress.
“For Congress A is for Adarsh ghotala (scam), B for Bofors and Bete ka karnama (son’s deeds), C for Coalgate and Commonwealth scam and D for Defence corruption and Damad ka karnama (son-in-law’s deeds),” said Modi in a mocking tone.
His attack became fiercer with every appreciation he got from his audience.
“The first year of Congress rule was used to eliminate their opposition while the remaining four years were used to loot the government exchequers and fifth year to distribute freebies,” said Modi, while fanning the common man’s anger against corruption.
"Corruption is Congress' ornament, a gift, and one who does more corruption, gets promotion in the party… Corruption is a disease inflicting the country... hence if India is to be made corruption free, then it should be first congress free India," the Gujarat Chief Minister said.

Stating there is a big difference between Congress of before 1947 and after it, Modi said that after 1947 it is immersed in "Bhakti of one family".
On the contrary, Modi claimed that "...BJP is immersed in Bharat Bhakti. It is for the well being of the 125 crore people of India."
Taking a dig at Dr Singh, he said, “It seems like the Prime Minister and Congress believe that they have no accountability towards the country. At the recently-concluded G20 summit the PM hardly raised an issue. Instead, he used it as an opportunity to announce his new boss (Rahul Gandhi) under whom he would continue to serve the country.”
He added, “Congress has undergone major change post independence. It now worships a dynasty and does not thinks of people country while BJP worship country and its 1.25 crore population.”
"In the last nine years of UPA government, with 11 allies from inside, three parties (BSP, SP and RLD) from outside, and CBI's hidden support, I have never seen a government that had no power to take any decision nor any satta (power) to run the nation and take important decisions," Modi alleged.
"The UPA government is run by those who have no accountability, nor anyone can ask or seek reply from them how, when, where, for whom it is done. The country cannot have such irresponsible government which cannot take the nation on the path of prosperity," he added.

Political observers believe that in the next few days, Modi will be declared the prime ministerial candidate of the saffron brigade.
Rajnath Singh too clearly hinted that party is firmly behind him.
He maintained that that the letter of former DGP of Gujrat, DG Vanjara could not tarnish his image. Dr Singh even accused that letter of Vanjara being a conspiracy hatched by the Congress.
While Raje promised to provide round the clock electricity and better water supply to the people of Rajasthan if she comes to power.
In Modi’s presence, Diya Kumari, the erstwhile Princess of Jaipur and shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore joined the saffron brigade. Looks like BJP all set woo the Rajput votes for the forthcoming elections.
