Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to bag between 63 to 79 seats out of 120 seats in the key Hindi heartland states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the Lok Sabha polls, according to a survey.
The survey said that BJP is expected to bag between 22 to 30 seats in Bihar while in UP, it is likely to bag 41 to 49 seats, a CNN-IBN survey said.
For its former ally and now main opponent JD-U, the survey predicts that the Nitish Kumar-led party is expected to get only 4-8 seats.
The Lalu Prasad Yadav-led RJD is expected to continue its bad run there with the survey predicting only 2-6 seats for it.
In UP, which is touted to be the deciding state for the BJP by poll pundits in the 2014 elections, the survey said the SP is expected to bag around 11 to 17 seats while the BJP is expected to bag 8-14 seats.
The Congress, the survey predicts, is expected to get only 5 to 9 seats as against the 21 it bagged there in last elections.
In both the states, the survey suggests that Narendra Modi is the most favoured leader for being the Prime Minister with more than 30 per cent people supporting him.
