YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is contesting the by-poll from Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, on Friday declared that he and his spouse have assets worth Rs 445.70 crore and loans to the tune of Rs 10.12 crore.
He filed his nomination papers on Friday for the May 8 by-poll.
In an affidavit filed before the officer, Jagan said he has assets worth Rs 390.70 crore, while his wife owns movable and immovable property worth Rs 55 crore.
The former Member of Parliament said he had Rs 12.46 lakh cash, Rs 5.52 crore bank deposits, Rs 359.59 crore of shares, bonds and debentures, Rs 7.08 lakh postal savings, Rs 11.13 lakh of other investments and 667.3 grams of gold valued at Rs 20.56 lakh in his name.
His immovable assets include agricultural land at Idupulapaya (Rs 13.89 lakh) and commercial properties (Rs 24.79 crore), according to the affidavit.
His wife, Bharathi has Rs 43 lakh in cash, Rs 6.46 lakh in bank deposits, shares and debentures worth Rs 36.01 crore and Rs 56.96 lakh in savings, Rs 6.24 lakh in other investments, gold and diamonds worth Rs 3.80 crore.
She owns agriculture and non-agricultural land worth Rs 13.63 crore.
Jagan said he owes Rs 2.40 crore to banks and others, while his wife had dues to the tune of Rs 7.71 crore.
He stated that his income in 2009-10 was Rs 39.59 crore, while his wife had an income of Rs 1.20 crore.
Earlier, Jagan arrived to file the papers in a big procession. The late Chief Minister Y S R Reddy's son is fighting to retain the seat that his mother held before resigning from it.
