Emraan Hashmi's Ek Thi Daayan
It is based on a short story written by Aparna Sen's ex-husband journalist Mukul Sharma, based on his experiences with occultism. Vishal Bhardwaj loved the story and asked Mukul Sharma to develop it into a full-fledged screenplay. Emraan Hashmi plays a magician in the film. According to him, a daayan (witch) is beautiful and scary at the same time. She has lush tresses over an angelic face.
Her feet face backwards, and hands are taller than her body. And, topping it all, all her witch power resides in her long plait. So who is this daayan in the film? Kalki Koechlin. She makes her appearance only fleetingly in the trailer. But her blanched complexion, dilated eyes in those two sockets in her face do indeed send a shiver down your spine.
The scares, otherwise, are evoked from the moments of anticipation, like Emraan Hashmi sensing a presence in his dim-lit room and gawking at the curtain undulating in the wind. The trailer of Ek Thi Daayan also shows glimpses of Konkona Sen Sharma and Huma Qureshi.

SUPERHOT Kareena closes LFW
Wearing a peach pink coat shirt with loose high waisted pallazo pants, Kareena looked ravishing in the avatar. The finale set was elaborately decorated with glass flooring. Kareena was the show stopper for the Grand Finale which was presented by designer Namrata Joshipura. For her this was her debut at LFW Grand finale.
The finale by Namrata was inspired by Lakme Absolute's latest collection - Pop Tints. Lakme, every season, puts out a collection that defines beauty and fashion statement for the season. This time it is 'Pop Tints', which is inspired by bright neon colours trending worldwide.
Namrata's signature colour is black but she chose to experiment with shads of Neon like green and pink, majorly as it is spring summer and these are the colours of this season.
The collection had more or less a western feel. Kareena had walked the ramp for designers Kallol Datta and husband-wife duo Pankaj and Nidhi at Lakme Fashion week last year.
