Digvijay Singh is wrong actually. You can see the figures. We have put the figures in the public domain. A total of Rs 32 lakh has been spent in the last four months. It is not just at Jantar Mantar," the RTI activist said.
"There was this Ramlila ground thing also. It has been spent on a couple of places. It includes Rs 6 to 7 lakh that were spent in Mumbai. Mumbai accounts were also included in this. It includes not just Jantar Mantar but also preparations in between," he said.

Claiming that Rs 82 lakh were raised from the corporate sector by the protesters, Singh had said, "If civil society people spent Rs 50 lakh for four-day agitation at Jantar Mantar, then why are they after the politicians telling them to keep the expenditure for contesting Lok Sabha and assembly elections within a limit?"
Hazare led an agitation pressing for enactment of the Lokpal Bill to give wider powers to the Ombudsmen to check corruption. The activist who camped at Jantar Mantar for four days ended his hunger strike on April 9 after the government agreed to include civil society representatives in the panel for drafting the Bill.
