Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday condemned the terror attack on Mahabodhi temple in Bihar's Bodh Gaya district.
"Cowardly attack on Mahabodhi Temple is a matter of great sadness for the people of India and the Buddhist community around the world," Modi wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Nine serial explosions rocked the internationally renowned temple town of Bodh Gaya, including four in the Mahabodhi Temple complex, injuring two monks.

He urged the central government to deploy Central Industrial Security Force personnel to ensure the security of the temple.
Kumar assured that the Mahabodhi temple will be open soon for pilgrims and tourists.
Kumar, who arrived at the site along with top government officials, said he was saddened and shocked by the blasts. But he refused to reply to a query about alleged security lapses by the state government.

PM condemns terror strike in Bodh Gaya
"The prime minister has strongly condemned the blasts in and around the sacred Mahabodhi Temple at Bodh Gaya. He has said that our composite culture and traditions teach us respect for all religions and such attacks on religious places will never be tolerated," stated the Prime Minister's Office.
The prime minister also wished speedy recovery to the people injured in the attack.
