Former TN minister's bail plea rejected

Special Judge S Sambandham on Wednesday dismissed the bail petitions of former state industries minister S Chinnaswamy and former Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited chairman and managing director A N Dhyaneswaran who were arrested last month in connection with the Rs 750 million granite licence scam.

The judge, who is trying cases relating to corruption charges against the former AIADMK government, later extended Chinnaswamy's remand.
