Laloo's remand extended

Laloo will spend more time in judicial custody.

The designated Central Bureau of Investigation court on Tuesday extended the judicial remand for the former Bihar chief minister, former state ministers Bhola Ram Toofani and Vidya Sagar Nishad, former Union minister Chandradeo Prasad Verma and suspended Congress legislator Jagdish Sharma for 14 days more in connection with the multi-billion fodder scam.

CBI Special Judge S K Lal ordered the production of the accused on September 23.

Except for Verma, none of the accused were present in the court on Tuesday. All the accused are in judicial custody, but Yadav is undergoing treatment at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences and Toofani, Nishad and Sharma have been admitted to the Patna Medical College Hospital.
