IMAGE: The location and terrain for Yudh Abhyas is interesting since Indian troops are currently engaged in a stand-off with China's People's Liberation Army in the icy heights of Ladakh.
The temperature in Alaska on Tuesday, October 19, when Yudh Abhyas began was 4 degrees Centigrade.
Minimum temperatures in Ladakh in October can fall to minus 9 degrees Centigrade, which does not include the wind chill factor at those high altitudes. Photograph: SandhuTaranjitS/Twitter/PTI/Photo
