You could be president one day: Astrologer to HRD Minister Smriti Irani

HRD Minister Smriti Irani spent around 4 hours with astrologer Nathu Lalji. She was in town with her husband Zubin Irani.

Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani attracted all the media glare after photographs of her meeting an astrologer were published on Monday.

The HRD minister met the astrologer on Sunday in Rajasthan while she was there on a personal visit with her husband Zubin Irani.  The 80-year-old referred to as Nathu Lal ji by his followers reportedly told the minister, who is 38, that she can expect to be the country’s president one day in the future.

Smriti spent around four hours with the astrologer where she was seen curious to know about her future.

Soon after, on Monday when she was quizzed about her visit, Irani, outside Parliament, said, “What I do in my personal life doesn’t come under responsibility of media. I appreciate your effort to keep me in the headlines.”

She added, “I realise I contribute to your TRPs and I am glad I could be of help.”
