In a renewed bid to get the party to reinstate him, former Chief Minister of Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa has decided to move his members of Legislative Assembly to a resort on Monday.
Yeddyurappa and his followers who were locked in an afternoon-long meeting decided that they would stay away at a resort thus boycotting assembly proceedings which are to commence from Monday onwards.
After getting a clean chit in the illegal mining case from the Karnataka high court, Yeddyurappa had sought his reinstatement. He had sent several feelers to the Bharatiya Janata Party's leadership to make him the CM once again.
Yeddyurappa who has the support of nearly 60 MLAs has already booked rooms at a resort in the outskirts of Bengaluru.
Yeddyurappa has demanded that Sadananda Gowda be replaced as the chief minister. Although Gowda has stated that he would present the state budget, Yeddyurappa made it clear that either he or a candidate of his choice would present the budget.
He had also set March 19 as the deadline.
