Facing a storm over land scams, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa arrived in New Delhi on Friday night to meet Bharatiya Janata Party central leaders and hit out at the opposition parties demanding his ouster.

"Who are they to force me to resign?" Yeddyurappa said on his arrival when asked to comment on stepping up of pressure by Congress and Janata Dal-Secular for his resignation.

Yeddyurppa reached in New Delhi after being summoned by BJP leadership following the controversy on allocation of prime urban land to his family members.

He claimed the opposition parties were "disappointed" with him because "the development work is going on like anything."

"So, they are afraid that in another 10 to 15 years they would be the opposition party only...that's why they are creating problem," he said.
