* Deadlock in Parliament is likely to intensify on Friday with the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party issuing whips to party MPs asking them to be present in full strength in the Rajya Sabha amid tensions over suspension of 25 Congress MPs in Lok Sabha, Vyapam scam and Lalit Modi row.
* Reacting to the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's remarks on Lalitgate made in the Lok Sabha yesterday, Congress president Sonia Gandhi says: "Sushma Swaraj is an expert in theatrics." Vice president Rahul Gandhi says: "Sushamji made a nice, but hollow speech. She asked if Soniaji would have done this (help Lalit Modi's wife). As her son, I say she would not."
* Responsibility to run the House and end logjam lies with the government, says the Communist Party of India
