UK Visa Application Centres across the country will be temporarily closed down from September 28 to October 3.
In a statement issued on Friday, the British High Commission said the Visa Application Centres were being closed temporarily to facilitate technical upgrades and staff training at the visa departments and centres.
Visa applicants who need to travel in the next two weeks have been advised to submit their applications at the Visa Application Centres on or before September 25 (in Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Pune, Bangalore, Cochin and Hyderabad) and September 27 (in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai).
On September 28, the Visa Application Centres will be open from 0800 hours to 1200 hours for passport collection only.
The visa departments at the British High Commission and Deputy High Commissions in Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai will be closed from October 1 to October 3, the statement said.
