Vajpayee's sister dies in Delhi hospital

Urmila Mishra, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's sister, died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi on Friday morning. She was 72.

Mishra was suffering from cancer and had been brought to New Delhi from Gwalior by Vajpayee on April 28 for specialised treatment.

She
is survived by her husband, P M Mishra, two daughters and three sons. One of her sons, Anup Mishra, is a Bharatiya Janata Party MLA in Madhya Pradesh.

Mortal remains of Mishra were consigned to flames at the Laxmi Ganj crematorium in her hometown Gwalior on Saturday night.
