Uttaranchal Chief Minister N D Tiwari, who was discharged from hospital on Tuesday, was on Wednesday readmitted to the Jolly Grant hospital in Dehra Dun for treatment of his operated carbuncle.
"Tiwari was operated for a carbuncle last week. He still needs medical attention," an official spokesman said.
On Tuesday, the chief minister had chaired a cabinet meeting immediately after being discharged from the hospital, he said.
He was taken to the hospital on Tuesday evening for proper medical care, the spokesman said.
Earlier on December 11, 2002, he had been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi following a mild heart attack.
