Yet another minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, on Monday, was sacked by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati. The UP CM has been on a firing spree since the past ten days. The number of sacked UP ministers went up to 11 on Monday.

"Minister of state for Ayurvedic Medicine Daddan Misra was dropped from the council of ministers because of his anti-party activities," said a Bahujan Samaj Party press release.

The release adds, "Initially, the BSP supremo and UP Chief Minister Mayawati had denied Misra the party ticket for the coming state assembly election because of his poor credibility in the party. Misra pleaded before Mayawati, she refused to reconsider his case. Thereafter, Misra began indulging in anti-party activities and so he was asked to step down."

The minister's resignation was accepted by the governor on Monday evening.
