Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama lost his famous cool when he got annoyed with the media while walking down a Chicago street to a Halloween party with seven-year-old daughter Sasha.

As the Illinois Senator headed to Kenwood for the party along with daughter Sasha who was dressed up in a shiny costume, a contingent of reporters, photographers and TV crew travelling with Obama for his presidential campaign swiftly covered the moment on Friday.

"All right guys. That's enough. You've got a shot. Leave us alone. Come on guys. Get back on the (media) bus," a visibly irritated Obama was quoted as saying.

Obama, 47, briefly left his campaign trail in its final stretch ahead of the Tuesday polls to spend some time with his family in Chicago, including elder daughter Malia, 10.

Dressed casually in dark slacks and a jacket and sporting sunglasses, Obama was walking hand-in-hand with Sasha to a Halloween party hosted by Marty Nesbitt, his friend and treasurer of his presidential campaign, when the incident occurred.

His travel press pool continued to follow him when he walked down for the party. When a reporter and cameraman from a Polish media outlet appeared on the street and approached Obama, the Democrat paused and indicated that he wanted the press to back off, Chicago Sun-Times reported.

A few moments later, Obama broke into a run with Sasha, it said.
