The United States has offered the Federal Bureau of Investigation's help in its investigation into the Pune bomb blast.

United States Ambassador to India Timothy J Roemer on Wednesday said his country has offered 'help' after the Pune attack, which has left 11 people dead and many injured.

"If the Indian government, at some point, wants any help, wants any assistance, whether it's the FBI's assistance or other kinds of help, we are welcome to work with them," he told reporters.

On the links between Lashkar-e-Tayiba operative David Coleman Headley, detained in Chicago, and the Pune blast, he said, "We will continue to entertain and evaluate all the leads as they go forward".

But he pointed out that Home Minister P Chidambaram had said that it's too early to say which terror outfit was responsible for the attack.
