UP government will provide jobs to acid attack women victims on priority

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to provide jobs to acid attack women victims on priority in the state.

Earlier, the acid attack survivors were felicitated and provided with financial assistance in Lucknow on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav honoured around 40 survivors with the Rani Laxmi Bai award at his official residence.

Other women achievers and change makers were also felicitated on the occasion and a special eating joint ''Cafe Sheroes'' was also inaugurated in the city.   In addition, Asha Jyoti Centres in 11 districts and 181 helpline was also launched along with the rescue vans associated with the centres.
