An unattended car prevented Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's chopper from taking off on Saturday at Uttan, where a conclave of Bharatiya Janata Party workers and chief ministers of the party-ruled states is being held.
The car, which belonged to a delegate from Chattisgarh, was parked close to the chopper. As the CM cooled his heels inside the chopper, BJP workers frantically looked for the car's owner. However, the Chattisgarh delegate could not be found, and the Gujarat CM's chopper took off after a considerable delay.
Local police officials claimed that the unattended car was not the reason behind the delay. According to them, a chopper takes time to take off after starting its rotors, as it has to reach a certain speed before take-off.
