Leading non-resident Indian industrialist Lord Swraj Paul has been appointed a member of the Science and Technology Select Committee of Britain's House of Lords.
Lord Oxburgh will chair the 14-member committee.
Lord Paul, 72, is also the chancellor of the Wolverhampton University, one of the largest universities in Britain, and co-chairman of the UK-India Round Table, a bilateral forum that has played a key role in improving relations between the two countries.
