Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan on Sunday alleged that the Congress-led United Democratic Front Opposition was hatching a conspiracy to create violence during the coming assembly polls and the death of five Indian Union Muslim League activists engaged in making bombs was an indication of that.

The death of five activists of IUML, a partner in the UDF, at Narikkattiri in Kozhikode when they were engaged in making bombs was a clear indication of that, Achuthanandan told mediapersons in Thiruvananthapuram.

Slamming the UDF for the incident, Achuthanandan wanted Opposition leader Oommen Chandy to apologise to the people owning responsibility for the mishap. Achuthanandan also said the government would sternly deal with the violence.

Five persons were killed and three injured when the country bombs they were manufacturing exploded in Nadapuram.
