Three Indians and a UAE woman were sentenced by a Dubai court to jail terms ranging up to twenty years for raping and beating to death a teenaged girl.
The woman had earlier fled to India after committing the crime but was arrested and extradited after the UAE police
alerted the Interpol.
In the sensational case, the woman's ten-year-old son had testified against the mother and helped in the conviction, the
Gulf News said.
The three Indians -- Mohammad Shahid Mohammad Shafiq (25), Syros Rony Aloysius (23) and Salam Dar Bakkah (25) -- were also found guilty of adultery and drinking alcohol and were jailed to 20 years each.
Thirty-nine-year-old Roshan Arasid Ansari, who forced the nineteen-year old Emirati student into prostitution, was jailed for 15 years, the daily reported.
The four tortured, gang-raped and battered their victim to death in a revenge attack, probably after her father
discovered the prostitution ring, the paper said.
They buried her body under the floor of a storeroom in a house rented by Ansari's husband, but left behind a trail of blood.
