Four killed, 15 hurt in train accident

Four persons were killed and 15 injured in a collision between the 302 down Varanasi-Asansol passenger train and a light engine near Jaddugram in Gaya-Koderma section under Dhanbad division on Saturday evening, General Manager, East-Central Railway, R S Warshney said.

The passenger train on way to Asansol in West Bengal from Varanasi collided with a light engine that had rolled down due to failure of brakes after hitting a cow, Warshney told PTI.

Train traffic came to a halt in the section after the accident, he said.

Meanwhile, in Patna sources in East Central Railway Zone said two relief trains from Dhanbad and Mughalsarai divisions have rushed to the scene.
