Three persons were injured, one of them seriously, when a crude bomb exploded at a village near Goreswar town in Baksa district under violence-affected Bodoland Territorial Autonomous District Council in Assam on Sunday.

Police informed that a transistor like object was spotted lying on a paddy field in the area by a person who brought it to the road to show it to two other persons. As the bomb went off, all the three unsuspecting persons were injured.

Though located in the violence-hit BTC, the district has not been much affected by the spell of recent violence so far barring one incident of attack on a family of minority community.

Security has been tightened in the district following Sunday's low-intensity blast.
