Forensic tests do not support the South African model's claims that she was drugged by her assailants at a pub in suburban Vile Parle in December last year, before they allegedly raped her, police sources said on Monday.

Results of the forensic tests performed on blood and urine samples of the model have reached Mumbai Crime Branch and they do not show any drug residue, although they reveal that the model had consumed a high amount of alcohol, the sources said.

Crime Branch sources said that the forensic tests do not mean that the model had lied, since there was a possibility that the drug could have been flushed out by her body, as she underwent forensic tests almost three days after the incident.

The sources clarified that the evidences of rape against the alleged accused were independent of the forensic tests on blood and urine samples.

"In no way would these reports damage the evidence against the accused," they said.

The South African model was allegedly drugged at Avalon pub at Hotel Bawa International in suburban Vile Parle on December 27, after which two youths, Suresh Krishnani and Sunil Morpani allegedly raped her several times in two days before they dropped her home on December 29 last year.

She left for South Africa on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai crime branch is likely to file a chargesheet against the two accused by the end of this week. "We are trying to expedite the probe. We may file chargesheet in two or three days," a senior Crime Branch official told PTI here.

Morpani and Krishnani are currently in Arthur Road jail in judicial custody.
