Unidentified on terrorists on Wednesday exploded a powerful grenade at the house of a Manipur government official at Singjamei area here, but none was injured, official sources said.

The terrorists blasted the grenade at the house of the executive engineer of electricity department, Puyam Birendra Singh, 45, on Wednesday morning.

The official and his family members were present at the time of the explosion.

The motive behind the crime was not immediately known, but non-payment of money to terrorists who demanded a huge sum from the official could be the reason, sources said.
