Railway Protection Force chief security commissioner (Samastipur) S N Arya told rediff.com over the telephone that security at the Raxaul railway station was beefed up and a high alert was sounded for all railway stations in north Bihar bordering Nepal.
"An intelligence report has clearly warned about terror threat to Raxaul railway station and terrorists threatened to target Delhi-bound
trains," Arya said.
Arya said that railway officials and district officials have been directed to increase vigilance at all railway stations and on trains. "We have directed
the railway police to thoroughly check trains at Raxaul before they depart," he said.
According to an official from the Muzaffarpur railway police, a dog squad and security forces have been rushed to Raxaul.
"Massive security checks have been launched at railway stations in north Bihar," Arya said.
Intelligence reports fear attacks at stations near the border like Sugauli, Adapur, Sikta, Narkatiaganj, Betiah and Motihari as well.
