Pro-Telangana activists have launched a unique protest in all 10 districts of the region.

Activists have divided themselves into teams and positioned themselves in front of the houses of each and every Telugu Desam Party and Congress MLA and MP.

This is a social boycott of all public representatives belonging to the TDP and Congress who represent Telangana, the political Joint Action Committee for Telangana said while launching this protest.

The activists say that these are the two political parties, which have not taken a genuine stand, and until and unless they all resign, the government will not feel the pressure.

It is important that Congress leaders from Telangana resign, as they can put

the required pressure on the government, JAC leader Prof Kodandram said at Hyderabad.

Such protests will be carried out until they tender their resignations. There is a need to embarrass them, the activists also said.

In the days to come there will be roadblocks, pen down strikes and by February the Telangana Bill should be tabled in Parliament, the JAC also pointed out.

Meanwhile, TDP leaders from Telangana will hold a meeting at the Andhra Pradesh assembly to discuss their future course of action on the issue.

Security around the Osmania University continues to remain tight ahead of a crucial students JAC meeting to be held later during the day. The meeting is being held to chalk out the future course of action.
