Union Minister of State for Civil Supplies Mohammed Taslimuddin was on Tuesday granted bail after he surrendered before a court in Patna in connection with a cheque dishonour case.
Taslimuddin surrendered before Magistrate S K Sinha's court and was granted bail after he furnished a bail bond of Rs 10,000 and two sureties of like amount.
The first class judicial magistrate had on October 5 issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Taslimuddin on the basis of a complaint filed by a dealer of an automobile company.
The dealer had charged the Union minister with committing a fraud, as a cheque of Rs 300,000, drawn in favour of the company by Taslimuddin for purchase of a vehicle, bounced.
