External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will make a statement in Parliament on December 14 on the recent developments in India-Pakistan relations.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Friday informed the Lok Sabha that Swaraj is ready and would make a statement on Monday (December 14).

The statement would be made in the Rajya Sabha at 11 am and in the Lok Sabha at 2 pm on Monday, Rudy said. Saugata Roy (Trinamool Congress) said it would be late by then to make the statement.

On Wednesday, during the visit of Swaraj to Pakistan, the two countries agreed to start a comprehensive bilateral dialogue. Swaraj had also confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Islamabad next year to attend the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation summit.
