Janata Party president Subramaniam Swamy, whose PIL on 2G scam came up for hearing before the division bench of the Supreme Court, on Tuesday dared the Congress to take legal action against him.

"You are telling me that the Congress is planning to take action against me? You should have asked them why they don't carry out their threats and translate them into reality," Swamy told rediff.com.

According to him, this is not the first time that the Congress has 'threatened' him with legal action. "They have been holding out such threats. They know Dr Swamy and hence they never go to court," he added.

On Monday, Minister of State for Telecom and Communications Sachin Pilot had warned that a legal suit could be filed against Swamy for his alleged defamation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi and her family members.
